Activities We are staffed with experienced IT professionals that work in many areas of the IT and communications field. Members of the G6 perform the following tasks: Support MDDF units in their functions with IT and communications services Train personnel in the use of IT and communications systems Perform network/computer systems maintenance and repair Develop policy, guidance and direction in the definition, design, implementation and integration of enterprise IT and communications solutions Create and administer IT security policy and apply hardening techniques to reduce risks Promote network/computer security through audits, user education, and penetration testing Enable data integration with other units/agencies/departments Provide IT and communications mutual assistance with Maryland Military Department Website development Database application development Operate radio equipment and perform radio maintenance and repair Join Us If you have an IT and/or communications background or a strong desire to learn and work in the field please join the MDDF with an assignment to the Information Technology and Communications (G6) unit.
