Personnel & Administration (G1)
Mission
To provide professional, accurate and timely administrative support to the Commanding General and all Maryland Defense Force Commands.

Activities
The Personnel Section is tasked to:
  1. Maintain accurate and complete personnel (201) files on all active duty, inactive, retired and discharged MDDF personnel.
  2. Process all official MDDF orders for Enlistment, Officer Appointment, Transfer/Reassignment, Retirement and Discharge.
  3. Maintain an up-to-date electronic database of all personnel.
  4. Maintain the official MDDF emergency telephone and contact list and web based emergency contact group.
  5. Publish monthly command and unit status reports.
  6. Convene periodic Promotion and Appointment Boards.
  7. Create, maintain and report MDDF's personnel Table of Organization.

The Administrative Section is tasked to:
  1. Publish and revise MDDF regulations regarding criteria and issuance of all MDDF Awards, Medals, Ribbons and Certificates.
  2. Convene periodic MDDF Recognition Board to approve nominations for individual awards.
  3. Maintain logs and records as to each member's personal accomplishments.
  4. Maintain and supply of all MDDF medals, ribbons, certificates and awards.
  5. Lead MDDF Awards Committee to review creation and administration of new MDDF awards.
